Dan Auerbach Performs New Material On The Late Show

first_imgThe Black Keys’ singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach is back to his solo roots, as he gears up to release a solo LP Waiting on a Song – due our June 2nd. The new album marks Auerbach’s first solo LP since 2009’s Keep It Had and the first album since the Arcs released Yours, Dreamily in 2015. In celebration of this new record, Auerbach served as the musical guest on Friday’s episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.Auerbach and his band performed a stand-out version of his own “Shine On Me,” live for television audiences, as well as a post-show performance of “King of a One Horse Town” for those in the audience. That topic was given much attention during a farmer’s forum which formed part of the Caribbean Week of Agriculture.Program Manager for the Agriculture Industry at the Caricom secretariat Sergio Garcia says climate smart technologies must be implemented to move the sector forward. “The meeting agreed that agriculture is a very important sector which plays a functional role in terms of development, rural development, governance, income generation, environment management and economic activity. Therefore it was agreed that the principle priority is to having food and nutrition security, not only on a national level but a regional level,” he said.He says shipment of produce is also a major concern for farmers in the region. “The forum agreed that we need to look at climate change technologies and use them properly. The forum also agreed that attention must be paid to sick management. In this area we are speaking about preventative measures to be utilized.
